Abstract: As one of the small villages in Trenggalek, Tegaren was able to boost its achievements as the Second Place Winner of the Adipura Village Award in Trenggalek for the Small Village category in 2023. This also shows that Tegaren Village has succeeded in increasing its achievements as one of the leading villages in Trenggalek. To continue to bring up innovation, the Tegaren government needs alternative solutions and creative ideas to solve their problems, especially those related to community participation. The first problem in Tegaren related to sustainability and the environment is the small community participation in the context of daily environmental protection activities, such as participation in collecting waste in the village and managing waste banks. The second problem is the lack of innovation in Tegaren to deal with environmental cleanliness problems. This article also discusses the program to increase the capacity and capabilities of the Tegaren community and institutions in Tegaren in implementing the smart village concept, especially on the points of smart people, smart government, and smart environment so as not to be left behind by the advancement of civilization in urban areas, because by mastering information technology, the community will be able to master civilization. The programs implemented are divided into two, namely 1) the creation of a digital waste bank as a form of the latest innovation in collective waste management and 2) training and mentoring of communities and village institutions to be able to manage environmental cleanliness with a digital ecosystem.
