Training on Fermentation Application in The Production of Biological Agents and The Preparing of Chili Planting Media in Polybags at Pademonegoro Village, Sukodono, Sidoarjo
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The decline in chili plant productivity in Pademonegoro Village is caused by attacks by plant pests (OPT) and farmers' dependence on chemical pesticides. This study aims to increase chili production through the application of fermentor technology for the production of biological agents (Trichoderma sp. and Paenibacillus sp.) and the creation of organic-based planting media in polybags. This training provides an alternative to environmentally friendly sustainable agriculture by reducing the use of chemicals and maximizing limited land. The results show that the use of biological agents and organic planting media is effective in improving plant health, and productivity, and reducing soil damage due to pesticides.
