Type: article
Abstract: Urinary tract disorders can potentially be treated using medicinal plants, which have long been valued for their healing abilities. This study documents and analyzes the use of indigenous plants using ethnobotanical methods, focusing on the treatment of urinary lithiasis in the Rabat Province of Morocco. Interviews with traditional healers and herbal users identified 37 plant species from 24 families, most of which belong to the Apiaceae family. A strong relationship between citation frequency and relative citation frequency is identified using regression analysis, and the importance of PC1 in capturing variation in the data is highlighted using principal component analysis. Overall, this study highlights the long history of medicinal plant use and provides information for future research into therapeutic use.
