Abstract: Highlights1) The secondary sideband (SSB) frequency coupling mechanism of the individual grid-connected inverters (GCI) and the SSB harmonic interaction mechanism among paralleled GCIs under background harmonic distortion are revealed.2) The SSB harmonic current models of individual/multi-parallel GCIs are proposed.3) The SSB harmonic emission characteristics of individual/multi-parallel GCIs are investigated.
