Abstract: Cartographic representations reflect the political, economic and cultural interests of States. In Argentina, official cartography historically omitted the relevance of maritime spaces and Antarctica. This article presents a review of the Argentine territorial imaginary, incorporating a bicontinental perspective. It examines the dominant representations in the educational system and public agencies, questions the traditional map and seeks to promote a critical view that highlights the relevance of the sea, the South and the sovereignty dispute over the Malvinas Islands.
