Study design: Case Report
Abstract: Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a connective tissue disorder characterized by skin fibrosis, internal organ involvement, and vasculopathy. Raynaud phenomenon (RP), a vascular manifestation of SSc, is characterized by exaggerated vasoconstriction of peripheral blood triggered by cold and stress. RP can lead to prolonged digital ischemia, resulting in skin ulceration, known as digital ulcers. In severe cases, complications such as infection and tissue necrosis may occur, leading to autoamputation and permanent disability.
