Abstract: The resistance of wood to destructive organisms such as fungi, insects, and marine borers is known as its natural durability. Wood from community forests is generally dominated by wood types that have low quality, both in terms of strength and natural durability. This study aims to determine the level of durability and resilience of Kihiyang, Manglid, Jabon, Suren, Nangka, and Johar wood products from community forests against soil termite attacks after being preserved using the cold soak method with the active ingredient borax. Testing of wood durability in open spaces using the ASTM D 1758-96 method with the criteria of 5-year-old tree wood using the Complete Random Design (RAL) method with factors namely A (wood type) and factor B (boraxic acid concentration). Data analysis used the significance test and the duncan test. The results showed that borax with a concentration of 15% was the most effective in improving the durability and durability of the six woods studied. Johar wood is the only one that is the most durable and resistant compared to other woods. With durable and resistant class 1.
