Scientific Approaches to Forming the Readiness of Future Social Workers for the Patriotic Education of Youth Through Socio-cultural Activities

Abstract: The article examines scientific approaches to fostering the readiness of future social workers for the patriotic education of youth through socio-cultural activities in the context of contemporary socio-political challenges in Ukraine. The relevance of the research is обусловлена ( обусловлена – dictated by, determined by) the necessity of strengthening the national consciousness and civic responsibility of the younger generation, particularly amidst military aggression and information warfare. The growing role of social workers as key agents of patriotic education and the significant potential of socio-cultural activities as an effective tool for influencing the value orientations of youth are emphasized. The research is based on a complex of complementary scientific approaches, including: the systemic approach, which allows for viewing the formation of readiness as a holistic system of interconnected components (motivational-value, cognitive, operational-activity, emotional-volitional) and influencing factors; the competence-based approach, focused on developing the integrated ability of specialists to effectively carry out patriotic education by mastering key professional competencies (patriotic, socio-cultural, organizational-methodological, communicative, pedagogical); the activity-based approach, which emphasizes the active participation of students in practical activities, modeling real professional situations; the personality-oriented approach, which takes into account the individual characteristics of students; the socio-cultural approach, which underscores the importance of using the cultural context; and the axiological approach, aimed at forming a value-based attitude towards patriotic education. The practical implementation of these approaches in the process of professional training of future social workers through the use of various forms and methods of instruction (lectures, seminars, trainings, project activities, practical training) is revealed. Criteria and indicators for assessing the level of readiness formation for each component are defined. The conclusions emphasize that the comprehensive application of the substantiated scientific approaches is key to the quality training of future social workers capable of effectively shaping the patriotic consciousness of youth and contributing to the development of civil society. Prospects for further research are outlined, aimed at the empirical verification of the developed provisions, the development of diagnostic tools, the study of the specificities of readiness formation in different categories of students, the analysis of the influence of the socio-cultural environment, the development of innovative pedagogical technologies, and the study of international experience.
