Entropy generation with heat and mass transfer of radiated buoyancy driven flow of MHD tangent hyperbolic nanofluid over a stretching surface: Numerical approach
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The objective of this work is to explore the entropy optimized magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) mixed convection radiative flow with heat and mass transfer attributes of tangent hyperbolic nanofluid (NF) induced by a stretching surface in the presence of induced magnetic field (IMF), nonlinear thermal radiation, melting heat, slip effects and frictional dissipation. The tangent hyperbolic NF model is utilized because it is capable to capture shear-thinning dynamics in industrial processes such as biomedical flows and polymer extrusion, and the Buongiorno framework offers crucial transport mechanisms for nanoparticles that are not present in single-phase models. The problem is modeled using boundary layer (BL) approximation considering Brownian and thermophoresis phenomena of Buongiorno NF model. Furthermore, this study assume the effects of buoyancy coupled mechanism, melting heat and slip effects. Using the Rung-Kutta methodology, the computational simulations are carried out. The findings reveal that higher thermophoresis parameters, nonlinear thermal radiation and Brownian motion increase the rates of mass transmission. The slip and magnetic parameter decreases the skin friction coefficient, improves the flow of NF. The melting heat, slip flow, and nonlinear thermal radiation have a major impact on heat and mass transfer. The process of inherent irreversible rises due to viscous dissipation. Furthermore, enhance the Nusselt and Sherwood number are achieved as a result of buoyancy parameters. The IMF profile is a rising function of thermal buoyancy parameter. This investigation is significant for engineering and industrial uses, especially for designing efficient industrial operations, and thermal management systems.
