Abstract: Some goods involved in the process of foreign trade operations need special attention from the state bodies that control the conformity of quality. Such goods include meat and meat products. Due to their specificity, meat and meat products have peculiarities of movement across the customs border of the EAEU and require prompt intervention. This problem has become especially relevant in the current conditions of economic uncertainty and sanctions pressure from the collective West. The presented problems prevent the optimization of the process of movement of these goods across the customs border of the EAEU, increase the administrative burden on customs authorities and Rosselkhoznadzor, do not allow to fully realize the export potential of Russia in the field of meat supplies to foreign markets. Statistical and situational analysis, conducted within the framework of the study, allowed to give an objective assessment of export operations of this commodity item. Based on the processing of regulatory and legal documentation, systematization and analysis of scientific literature, solutions were proposed to optimize customs procedures in the process of moving meat and meat products across the customs border of the EAEU.
