Study on Factors Influencing Malignancy in Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors

Year: 2025
Type: article
Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are rare neoplasms originating from the digestive tract, and their malignant potential significantly impacts patient prognosis and treatment strategies. In recent years, with advances in molecular biology and oncology, researchers have increasingly recognized that multiple factors play crucial roles in determining the malignancy of GISTs, including genetic mutations, tumor size, and histological characteristics. However, current understanding of the precise mechanisms and interrelationships of these factors in GIST malignancy remains controversial and incomplete. This article aims to comprehensively analyze existing research findings, explore the factors influencing the malignant potential of GISTs, and review recent relevant literature to provide insights for clinical practice and future research directions. The ultimate goal is to establish a theoretical foundation for the early diagnosis and personalized treatment of GISTs.
