Abstract: The article identifies factors and features of the development of vertical agriculture in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main directions of the formation of vertical agriculture as a special form of farming in the agro-industrial complex are investigated, the distinctive features of vertical agriculture from urban agriculture are determined. Measures are considered, the practical implementation of which contributes to the implementation of the most important provisions of the concept of vertical agriculture in the urban economic system of Tashkent.
