Unravelling quantum dot–molecule interactions for π-conjugated ligands: insights into binding and anchoring group effects

Abstract: Quantum dots (QDs) coated with π-conjugated ligands display triplet energy transfer. The efficiency strongly depends on the binding and the molecular orientation, presenting guidelines for efficient photon upconversion via QD photosensitization.
