Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The daily inpatient census submission is carried out every month, not every day. Apart from that, in the recapitulation of the daily inpatient census for March 2024, out of 7 inpatient rooms, there was 1 room that had a discrepancy between the data on the number of patients in the daily census and the actual number of patients. This will result in hampered data collection and data processing for reporting hospital statistics. To find out an overview of the implementation of the Daily Inpatient Census at Kencana Serang Hospital. This is qualitative descriptive research. The population in this study was all 151 health workers at Kencana Hospital. The sample in this study was 4 people including 2 medical records officers who were related to the implementation of the Daily Inpatient Census, the Head of the Wijaya Kusuma room and the Wijaya Kusuma room admin officer. The data collection methods used were interviews and observation. The results obtained from this research are that the human element does not match the qualifications of medical recorders and the availability of human resources is still insufficient because only 1 officer has an RMIK educational background and has double jobs. There is still 1 point in the method element of the 5 procedural points that is not in accordance with the implementation of the Standard Operating Procedures (SPO) for the daily inpatient census. In terms of material elements, there are still deficiencies in the infrastructure, namely the number of computers for reporting is only 1 and the performance of the computer is slow when used. It is recommended to add officers with minimum qualifications as D3 RMIK graduates and conduct training or workshops for officers whose qualifications are not from RMIK as an upgrade to the officers' knowledge. It is best to give directions to officers to carry out their duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. To increase the availability of computers and carry out routine repairs and maintenance on computers so that they are not slow and operate well when in use.
