Type: article
Abstract: In 1960, Sachio Ohtani and Hiroshi Sasaki published a paper entitled “Composition of Architecture by Stages.” They showed the types and uses of products composed of various materials and stated that precast concrete was effective in controlling concrete construction in Japan after World War II. However, they never explained anything about the period after 1960. This study shows that the types and parts of use of factory-made concrete products emerged between 1960 and 1979 were diversified, but their amount of use decreased. It was also found that most products eventually became precast concrete panels used primarily for walls.
