Abstract: The functioning of the Ukrainian higher education system under full-scale war conditions creates new challenges for psychological support of student youth, as traditional psychological assistance models prove insufficiently effective. The relevance is determined by the necessity to develop specialized approaches to students’ psychological support through coping strategies. The research aim is to develop and theoretically substantiate a conceptual model of psychological support for student youth in adverse living conditions. The objectives include analyzing theoretical-methodological approaches, determining the model’s conceptual foundations, and substantiating implementation principles. The research was conducted using systematic literature analysis, comparative analysis of approaches, and generalization of coping behavior concepts. Structural-functional and systematic modeling were applied to integrate components into a holistic model. Organizational forms design was used considering student contingent specifics. The main hypothesis assumes that effective psychological support requires an integrated approach combining five interconnected work directions. New data concerns the specifics of coping strategy formation under war traumatization conditions. The research methodology included systematic analysis of coping strategies literature, comparative analysis of existing approaches, and structural-functional modeling of system components. Systematic modeling was applied to integrate five directions into a holistic model and design organizational forms of implementation. A conceptual model integrating cognitive, emotional, behavioral, resource-based, and integrative directions was developed. Methodological principles were determined: systematicity, contextuality, subjectivity, and resourcefulness. A differentiated approach depending on traumatization level was substantiated. Organizational forms of implementation were systematized. The educational environment’s role in forming adaptive coping strategies was revealed. A comprehensive approach to forming constructive strategies was proposed. The theoretical significance lies in expanding understanding of coping strategy formation mechanisms under crisis conditions. The results enrich the theoretical base of coping behavior psychology. The practical significance lies in the possibility of implementation in higher education psychological service systems. Developed principles can be used to create student psychological support systems. The scientific novelty lies in developing an integrated model that first combines five directions for coping strategy formation under war traumatization conditions. The originality is determined by its focus on post-traumatic growth. Research perspectives lie in empirical testing of the model and developing implementation technologies. Article type: theoretical.
