Abstract: The British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) has announced Niall Connell as junior vice president and Jo Megarity as honorary treasurer, effective from its AGM on 19 June. Niall, a former RCVS president and treasurer, brings decades of leadership experience. Jo, founder of LagoLearn, becomes the first vet nurse on the board, highlighting BSAVA's commitment to inclusive representation across the veterinary profession. Scotland's Rural College (SRUC) has appointed five new non-executive directors to its board, including outgoing member of the Scottish Parliament Oliver Mundell. Joining him are Jamie Baker, Simon Cunningham, Kes Juskuwiak, and Neil Robertson, bringing expertise in rural development, finance, transformation and veterinary science. Former SRUC company secretary Helen Howden also joins the audit and risk committee as an independent external member. The appointments support SRUC's growth as a degree-awarding institution. VetPartners has named Jonathan Power as its new UK managing director. With a strong background in healthcare and pharmacy, Jonathan will lead UK operations, allowing CEO Jo Malone to focus on the wider European group. He aims to support clinicians, uphold the company's people-first culture and help drive sustainable growth across VetPartners' 850 sites and 12,000-strong workforce.
