Application of Encapsulation Method in Oily Wastes and Acid Tars Processing

Abstract: The paper presents general information about the volume of oily waste generation in Russia and in the world. It considers the experience of acid tar utilisation by reagent encapsulation method at the Yaroslavl PetroleumOil Plant (LLC «Mendeleev Yaroslavl Experimental and Industrial Petroleum-Oil Plant»). The object of the research is acid tar in pondsaccumulators in Yaroslavl region, Tutaevsky district, Konstantinovsky village. It gives the description of neutralization technology by encapsulation method, its technical and material support. The paper determines degree of reduction of hazardous properties of waste after encapsulation method application. It presents the results of infrared spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence analysis of the encapsulated product. The applied technology is evaluated, the ways of improvement of neutralization technology on the basis of encapsulation method are offered.
