Abstract: Hai Gong and Chen make a compelling argument for "more" of what was published in the Noll et al 2024 1 manuscript where we showed-for the first time-that a coordinated, community-wide preventive intervention reduced both substantiated and unsubstantiated child sexual abuse (CSA) rates at the population level in five U.S. counties. They suggest more research with larger, more heterogenous samples that cut across more regions, populations, and cultural contexts. They suggest integration of more multi-sector data systems to reinforce the far-reaching impact that CSA prevention will have on public health (hospital records, law enforcement statistics, community surveys). They also emphasize how extended follow-up of intervention effects would demonstrate durability across community development cycles and mobility patterns.
