Abstract: In this paper, we consider radio emission from supernova remnants in the late stages of evolution. It is expected that a significant part of the observed SNRs are in the late stages of evolution. It is shown that the model of radio emission based on the mechanism of diffusive shock acceleration (DSA) is able to explain the statistics of observed SNRs.The possibility of DSA operation and the occurrence of radio emission in SNRs at the radiative stage of evolution is discussed. It is shown that empirical Σ -D dependencies are not suitable for determining distances to SNRs.
