Abstract: Dedicated to Yuri Ivanovich Manin on the occasion of his 85th birthdayWe prove that ∀k ≥ 2 given a smooth compact k-dimensional manifold N and a multiplicative k -1-gerbe on a Lie group G together with a connection, there is a line bundle on the Beilinson-Drinfeld Grassmannian Gr G (N ) having the factorization property.
