Abstract: In this paper, we present dynamics of the development of knowledge about climate change and energy efficiency, especially in engineering, as an answer to rising issues brought by climate change, in the way they have been treated in two published textbooks: "Climate change" for university education and "Energy efficiency" for higher education. Both textbooks are published by Academic Mind, Belgrade as pioneering higher education literature in the Serbian language in the relevant areas of expertise and we discuss their importance for third-level education in these fields in Serbia. We further outline the latest discoveries in the rapidly growing field of climate change.
