Abstract: The article examines certain aspects of the manifestations of the harm of “French” education through the prism of the views of Russian statesmen, whose primary task was the preservation of the national identity of the Russian people. The attitude towards the “French” education of Nikolai Semenovich Mordvinov, Alexander Semenovich Shishkov, Fyodor Vasilyevich Rostopchin is analyzed, with specific measures aimed at eradicating the practice of raising Russian children by foreign tutors, suppressing the hidden propaganda of French culture, and preventing the French from implementing their plan to denigrate the Russian people.
