Abstract: The article describes the features of the representation of the concepts of word, language in the poetic works of O. Pechora. The subject of the article is the poems of two collections of the writer: «The Call of the Stork» (Lubny, 2020) and «Just Shine» (Lubny, 2024). In the author’s expressions about the need to preserve language as the spiritual wealth of the people, changes in the semantic layers of the main meanings of the lexeme word are observed, which contributes to the creation of the concept as a complex of cultural ideas about the Ukrainian word and language, and causes an increase in the semantic volume of the nomen. With the name word, the poet first of all denotes the main nominative unit of language, then represents various genres of oral speech (wishes, gratitude, chatter, discussions, instruction, admonition, sympathy, advice, etc.), and then - the creative achievements of masters of the word. The aestheticization of the image of the word is realized through appeals to the word, followed by decisive actions, and the word, not connected with the embodiment of the conceived in life, as well as the dualistic opposition of the word-truth and the word-lie, the first of which develops into the concept of truth, which, in the poet's opinion, is connected with the concepts of holiness and love. Because true beliefs and actions of a person are possible only from great love. In some poems, the expansion of semantic layers, the condensation of semes and the rejection of specifics are noticeable, because the word in the poetic discourse of O. Pechora is truth, love and God.
