In the Middle of Gastric Perforation Lies an Opportunity for Endoscopic Closure

Abstract: Acute gastric perforation can be either spontaneous or iatrogenic due to therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Early recognition and timely endoscopic closure can prevent mortality and morbidity. We report a case of gastric perforation after deployment of a self-expanding metallic stent in a patient of carcinoma esophagus recognized immediately and successfully closed using X-TACK device.
