Abstract: Bone loss after any tooth extraction procedure is inevitable with alveolar bone and soft tissue changes that may jeopardise aesthetic and complicate functional rehabilitation. This study presents a case of a 38-year-old man with a recurrent abscess on his upper anterior tooth that has periodontal pocket depth measuring 10 mm on the mid-labial site and Grade 2 mobility. A clinical diagnosis of root fracture of tooth 11 was made, and extraction was done. This case illustrates the use of sub-epithelial connective tissue graft and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in an alveolar ridge preservation procedure for severe dehiscence passing more than two-thirds of the facial bone of the alveolus. The additional use of the PRF membranes contributed significantly to the outcome of the procedure.
