Abstract: : The purpose of this educational action research was to understand how we can restructurethe course Mathematics for All, a graduate-level course taught at the University of Iceland. Data wasgathered and analysed thematically and cyclically with an open questionnaire at the end of the courseand individual interviews a year later. Findings show that the course influenced participants’ understandingof mathematics education and their professionalism. The interviewed participants were ableto utilise problem solving and discussions in their classroom but faced challenges and needed ongoingsupport to implement their learnings in class.
