An Analysis of the Employment Status and Countermeasures for Chemistry Majors in Local Normal Universities—Taking the Chemistry Majors of Chuxiong Normal University as an Example

Abstract: 本文以楚雄师范学院化学专业毕业生为研究对象，选取化学专业2022~2024年毕业生国家就业统计平台最终就业数据进行分析，化学专业毕业生在教育行业的就业比例较高，但受疫情影响，毕业生数量与教师岗位需求之间出现失衡，供过于求，导致就业压力加大。毕业生在就业观念、期望定位上存在问题，而高校就业服务也存在不足，如制度不完善、专业人才缺乏等因素。针对化学专业存在的问题作出相应的就业指导工作和相关的对策建议。This article takes graduates majoring in chemistry from Chuxiong Normal University as the research object, and selects the final employment data of graduates majoring in chemistry from 2022 to 2024 from the National Employment Statistics Platform for analysis. The employment proportion of graduates majoring in chemistry in the education industry is relatively high, but due to the impact of the epidemic, there is an imbalance between the number of graduates and the demand for teacher positions, resulting in oversupply and increased employment pressure. Graduates have problems with their employment concepts and expectations, and there are also shortcomings in employment services provided by universities, such as imperfect systems and a lack of professional talents. The paper provides corresponding employment guidance and relevant countermeasures and suggestions for the problems existing in the chemistry major.
