Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems: The Next Wave of Computing
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Cloud computing and distributed systems are reshaping the digital world by providing scalable, flexible, and cost-efficient computational resources. This paper explores the convergence of these technologies and how they form the foundation of modern computing paradigms. The integration of cloud platforms with distributed computing architectures is enabling unprecedented levels of performance, agility, and innovation across diverse industries. From healthcare to finance, businesses are leveraging the combined strengths of these technologies to achieve operational excellence, improve user experiences, and develop cutting-edge services. Additionally, this paper presents a detailed literature review, outlines a qualitative methodology involving case studies and metric evaluations, and discusses key findings that demonstrate the effectiveness and limitations of these systems. The results highlight not only the transformative impact of cloud and distributed systems but also the ongoing challenges related to data security, interoperability, and latency.
