Analysis for the purposes of medical equipment logistics: main types and prospective indicators
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Introduction. The activities of health care business entities in the supply of medical equipment in conditions of instability, rational organization of its storage and use, active promotion on the market and effective implementation of other important areas require the use of analytical tools and evaluation. The argumentation of the feasibility of their use is the problems and increased tension in providing equipment for the needs of providing medical services, as well as the availability of reserves for improving and optimizing its use. The purpose of the article is to summarize modern analysis tasks for logistical purposes regarding medical equipment, critically evaluate and identify the main relevant types of analysis and develop the issue of improving analytical indicators. Method (methodology). The methodology of the study includes a critical analysis of the views of scientists on the problem of developing analytical tools in logistics, statistical generalizations and graphic methods to substantiate the relevance of considering this area of research, observation, synthesis and generalization - when identifying modern analysis tasks and establishing their list in healthcare institutions, formalization - when substantiating and representing current and proposed analysis indicators for logistics purposes regarding medical equipment. Results. As a result of the study, new tasks and areas of analysis in the logistics of medical equipment that meet modern challenges and requests have been substantiated, the need to use the appropriate indicators for each type of analysis has been proven, and the procedure for their calculation has been formalized. A list of additional indicators has been established for each type and area of analysis, which will allow improving the information base for managing the supply and use of medical equipment. The calculation of the above indicators will allow healthcare entities to increase the efficiency of medical equipment management, reduce costs and minimize risks in their logistics.
