Abstract: The process of territorial production complex formation is the transformation of territorial production systems of enterprises and organizations into an effective complex through the rational use of local resources and the realization of an advantageous economic and geographical location. The factors of advantageous location of enterprises and their territorial production patterns manifest themselves in different ways, depending on the economic specialization of the local territorial production system (economic center) as well as on the stage of complex formation (formation, functioning, reconstruction and development). In the selected set of location factors for the formation, functioning, and development of economic centers in the Far Eastern Federal District, the seaside location factor is of great importance. The presence of transport and logistics activities in seaside economic centers provides additional economic benefits, including port fees (for services provided to maritime transport). Comprehensive consideration of combinations of location factors makes it possible to identify fully all sources of additional economic effect when studying the processes of territorial and industrial complex formation in economic centers with different specialization of the territorial and sectoral structure.
