Abstract: A Fe3O4/Graphene aerogel (Fe3O4/GA) material was prepared successfully by a hydrothermal method. The material was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and field emission scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (FESEM/EDX), vibration sample magnetization (VSM) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). The effects of initial 2,4,5-T acid concentrations, contact time, and pH values on the 2,4,5-T adsorption were investigated from batch tests. The experimental data were analyzed by four adsorption isotherm models: Freundlich, Langmuir, Tempkin, and Dubinin-Redushkevich (D-R). The effects of different adsorption parameters was fitted to the pseudo-first-order and pseudo-secondorder. The 2,4,5-T adsorption on the material was fitted to the Langmuir, Freundlich and Tempkin isotherm and the maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 103.09 mg/g.
