Abstract: In radar micro-Doppler analysis, signatures are traditionally extracted using stationary radars with Moving Target Indicator techniques. With the rise of autonomous technologies, such as social robots in assisted living, there is an increasing need to extract micro-Doppler signatures from moving radar platforms. This paper proposes a novel method for capturing micro-Doppler signatures under ego-motion and compensating for it using estimated velocity and the target's angular position relative to the radar.
