Analysis of Teaching Strategies Used by English Teachers at SMKN 2 Tarakan North Kalimantan

Abstract: The objective of the research was to determine of the teaching strategies used by the English teachers at tenth class of SMKN 2 Tarakan. The research used a descriptive method. The subject of the research was English teachers at tenth class of SMKN 2 Tarakan. The research focused on teacher strategies on teaching English especially reading materials in class. The research data collection was carried out by documentation, observation, and interviews. The results of the research showed that the teacher used four strategies, namely scaffolding, team assisted instruction, question-answer method and project-based learning model.
