Synthesis and anticancer activity of Pt( iv ) prodrugs containing 3-bromopyruvic acid as an axial ligand
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: studies using an HCT116 xenograft tumor mouse model demonstrated that BrPt3 achieved a higher tumor inhibition rate and lower toxicity than oxaliplatin. Although gavage administration resulted in a lower tumor inhibition rate than intraperitoneal administration, it still exhibited substantial antitumor activity. Overall, this Pt(iv) prodrug holds potential for development as an oral anticancer agent through its dual mechanisms of inducing DNA damage and inhibiting glycolysis.
