Abstract: This study aims to analyze the factors associated with complaints of Low Back Pain (LBP) among employees of the Village Apparatus Organization (Organisasi Perangkat Desa/OPD) in Citangkil Subdistrict. LBP is a common health problem among office workers, often caused by prolonged sitting durations, non-ergonomic sitting postures, and high Body Mass Index (BMI), all of which can negatively impact productivity and quality of life. This research employed an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach, involving 41 OPD employees as respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire covering information on BMI, sitting duration, and sitting posture. Spearman correlation test results showed a significant association between BMI and LBP complaints, with a p-value of 0.05 and an Odds Ratio (OR) of 9.899, indicating that employees with a high BMI are 9.899 times more likely to experience LBP compared to those with a normal BMI. In addition, sitting for more than 4 hours per day was significantly associated with LBP complaints (p = 0.02; OR = 12.061), suggesting that prolonged sitting increases the risk of LBP by 12.061 times. Non-ergonomic sitting posture was also significantly associated with LBP (p = 0.03; OR = 9.899).
