Abstract: Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a prevalent non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate, mainly affecting aging men.Current treatments, including drugs and surgery, often cause adverse effects, prompting the search for alternative therapies. This study evaluated the impact of Aqueous Artocarpus heterophyllus seed extract (AAHS) on testosterone enanthate-induced BPH in adult Wistar rats.Thirty male Wistar rats (12 weeks old, 180-200g) were acclimated under standard laboratory conditions before being divided into six groups: standard control, negative control (BPH-induced), positive control (treated with finasteride), and three treatment groups receiving AAHS at doses of 250 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg, and 1000 mg/kg.
