Abstract: Actions to address the climate emergencies can be integrated with education about environmental risks by understanding their causes and consequences, as well as prevention, adaptation and mitigation measures. We Propose! Unicentro: young people educating themselves in/with the city is a project which has contributed to these objectives by promoting formation of territorial citizenship with an emphasis on sustainable cities and their relationship with climate change mitigation. In this text, we the pedagogical results submitted to content analysis (Bardin, 2011), which shows that education contextualized to local studies is a powerful tool for creating a sense of belonging and responsibility towards the territory.
