Abstract: Ilha do Mel (in Paraná) is a privileged place for the development of Environmental Education (EE) projects. In this article, we argue that environmental education projects can be resized in importance on the island and can contribute to contemporary socio-environmental debates, especially by incorporating a multi-species perspective. To do this, we summarize the production that reflects on the main currents of environmental education in Brazil, placing it in dialogue with multi-species studies.
