Abstract: The article reports on a permaculture experience in a school context, addressing the climate emergency through environmental education (EE) from the perspective of Edgar Morin's complexity. The research involved students from a public school and adopted a theoretical-practical approach, based on Mollison and Holmgren”s (1986) permacultural principles. In addition to technical knowledge, a sense of belonging and teamwork was developed. The integration between permaculture and complexity in EE projects has shown itself as a promising path for the realization of a resilient society capable of facing current socio-environmental problems.
