Abstract: This research revisits the relationship between literary criticism and media criticism through highlighting their functions, values, and main concepts; as to point out the principles, dimensions and problems of this intricate relationship. This research is divided into the following sections according to the methodological needs it necessitated, such as a description of the current media situation, a detailed account of the relationship between literary criticism and media criticism, and a thorough understanding of the problematic relationship between literary criticism and media criticism, in addition to a detailed explanation of Media criticism relation to literature. This research adopts an analytical, descriptive, and critical approach that aims to clarify the nature of the relationship between literary and media criticism. It examines the concepts and terminology used by Arab critics and distinguishes the roles of literary and media critics. The study also attempts to find out and contextualize new methodological tools that contribute to the development of literary criticism, especially because of the increasing overlap between the two fields as a result of contemporary technological and critical transformations. The research aims to find a better way of looking at Media and Literary criticism from a different interdisciplinary approach.
