Abstract: Sustainable business practices are becoming a key factor in competitiveness within the contemporary hotel industry. ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards are gaining importance in the hotel sector. ESG reporting allows hotels to showcase their environmental, social, and corporate performance, while simultaneously enhancing their competitive edge and appeal to investors. This paper analyzes the strategies of three leading hotel brands – Hilton, IHG, and Marriott International – with a particular focus on their goals related to reducing carbon dioxide emissions, waste management, and employee support. All three companies implement energy efficiency measures, use renewable energy sources, and develop programs to improve employee well-being. Although they share the common goal of ecological and social sustainability, the analysis reveals differences in the approaches of each brand, highlighting the diversity of strategies within the global hotel industry. The paper also provides recommendations for improving ESG reporting and suggestions for future research in this field. Furthermore, the importance of innovation and technological advancement is emphasized as key factors in the implementation of sustainable practices in the hotel sector.
