Abstract: The article raises an urgent problem – the comprehensive development of the student's personality. In particular, the author considers this aspect within the framework of labour education of the younger generation. The author identifies a number of problems related to labour education. The article provides a brief overview of the stages of the formation of the labor education system in Russia and abroad. Great importance is given to the psychological component of students' work and work with problem children. The author emphasizes that in order to foster a well-rounded personality, it is necessary to use the personal reserve of children and form a positive attitude towards work.
