Abstract: The primary aim of this study is to identify and analyze pronunciation errors made by EFL learners when speaking French.A qualitative research design was employed, using the error analysis method to examine the errors.Data were collected from interactive videos produced by students in the Department of Foreign Languages at a state university in Istanbul. The analysis revealed three major types of errors: vowel errors, consonant errors, and prosodic errors. The findings show that students' native language (Turkish) and their knowledge of English influence their French pronunciation.Key factors include the absence of certain French phonemes in Turkish and English, insufficient focus on phonetic instruction in language courses, and limited practice opportunities.Furthermore, students' bilingualism and exposure to multiple languages also contribute to these errors. The study concludes that a greater emphasis on phonetics and pronunciation practice is essential in foreign language education programs to address these challenges effectively.
