Abstract: The digitization of the economy is causing serious problems for existing business models, including structural divisions of the banking system, which is currently undergoing a transformation process around the world. Offering customers convenient, efficient, and secure mobile banking services is one of the main components of the digital banking strategy. Digital banking provides important advantages to customers such as ease of transactions and savings. As a result, there is an increasing trend in the number of people using digital banking both in the world and in Uzbekistan. Digitalization also has various serious disadvantages such as fraud incidents and cyberattacks, which have increased, especially in recent years. In this context, this study aims to summarize the stages of digital banking and to assess the status of digital banking in the world and Uzbekistan in light of current developments.
