Abstract: Analysis of the impact of furniture forms and interior design on the quality of life of people with with musculoskeletal disorders. The study focuses on the accessibility of the Limba Student Residence at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences for people with mobility impairments. The research was conducted using the GERT Age Simulation Suit, which allowed participants to experience the effects of selected conditions, such as Parkinson's disease, osteoarthritis and spinal cord injury. The aim of the analysis was to identify architectural and ergonomic barriers that hinder the daily functioning of residents and to formulate recommendations in line with the principles of universal design. The results revealed numerous obstacles, including countertops that were too high, a lack of handrails, slippery surfaces and inaccessible cabinets. The conclusions confirm the need to modernise the facility by installing handrails, removing thresholds, using non-slip materials and adapting furniture. The proposed changes emphasise the importance of inclusive design in increasing the independence and social integration of people with disabilities.
