Abstract: This article discusses the concept of a green economy, its basic principles and role in sustainable development. It analyzes the problems of interaction between the economy and the environment, as well as the relationship between the green economy and sustainable development. Green technologies and innovations will help to solve a number of problems, promote sustainable development by preventing resource depletion. Produce goods that can subsequently be recycled, restored or reused. Reduce environmental pollution by increasing the resource efficiency of production. Apply innovations that can replace old methods of energy production that are harmful to the environment. Promote economic development, the creation of new technologies and goods. Particular attention is paid to the development of green areas in various sectors of the economy, such as transport, energy and agriculture. The article also discusses examples of successful practices and initiatives in the field of green economy in different countries of the world.
