Analysis of the conveyor belt damage in terms of impact loading by means of the relative risk

Abstract: The effect of the impact loading at the transfer point is demonstrated in many cases not only by the conveyor belt wear but often also by the mechanical damage. The main objective of the article is to identify the impact of selected parameter (type of conveyor belt, drop height, type of transported material) on the damage to rubber-textile conveyor belts in terms of impact loading. The experiment was testing two conveyor belts with different internal carcass structures. In total, 32 test samples were used. Evaluation and analysis of experimental assays were carried out while applying the relative risk.
