Abstract: ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Moutushi Islam is first author on ‘ A single-chain antibody-based AID2 system for conditional degradation of GFP-tagged and untagged proteins’, published in JCS. Moutushi is a PhD student in the lab of Dr Masato Kanemaki at National Institute of Genetics, Shizuoka, Japan, working on developing and improving technologies for conditional protein degradation.
