Abstract: The level of serum vitamin - D among patient with essential hypertension is of interest. Vitamin D plays a significant role in cardiovascular health, with emerging evidence linking its deficiency to hypertension. Therefore, it is of interest to assess the association between vitamin D deficiency and primary hypertension. A total of 100 patients with primary hypertension were evaluated for serum 25(OH)D levels. A significant proportion of hypertensive patients were found to have low vitamin D levels. These findings suggest that vitamin D deficiency may be a potential modifiable risk factor in the management of primary hypertension.
